Well, Hawks fans, if you haven’t been following the team for the last week or so, you’d be pleased to know they finally found their new coach as GM Danny Ferry hired San Antonio Spurs top assistant Mike Budenholzer to be the new head honcho of the Hawks.
Also, within the same week, the Milwaukee Bucks have hired Larry Drew to a 4-year deal. In the NBA, it is not uncommon to see particular players follow a coach to another team. In this case, could we see combo guard Devin Harris, who spent last season with Atlanta, follow Larry Drew to his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin?
It has been reported that Harris is open to playing for the Bucks if he does not chose to return to the Hawks.

Harris was born and raised in Milwaukee and was a star dual-athlete at Wauwatosa East High School, where he played basketball and volleyball — yup, volleyball. He only played for one season, but was so good in volleyball he gained all-conference honors before focusing full-time on basketball. With his full attention now on hoops, Harris put together a stellar senior season and was named Wisconsin’s “Mr. Basketball” in 2001. After his senior season, he accepted an offer to play college ball in his home state at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Six years later, Harris’ number 20 jersey was retired by Wauwatosa East at ceremonies held in 2007.
Last year, a veteran 30-year old Harris started the season out slow, but then started to improve gradually after Lou Williams went down for the season in January with a torn ACL. Harris spent most of the season, when he wasn’t dealing with nagging injuries, as the starting 2-guard beside Jeff Teague at the point, averaging 9.9 points, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
If the Bucks sign Harris and keep scoring guard Monta Ellis, it would give new coach Larry Drew the same two-headed backcourt attack that worked so well for him last season in Atlanta.
